Step Inside: A Virtual Tour of @PopRoundtoMine

Welcome to Pop Round to Mine, the colourful heart of The Colour Rebel, and my personal design playground. This is where colourful maximalism meets functionality, and mid-century modern touches mingle with bold, unapologetic statements. Every corner has been designed to showcase personality, spark joy, and dare I say it—turn beige-lovers into colour converts. Let’s take a virtual tour through the vibrant spaces that make this house not just a home, but a statement.

First Impressions: The Entrance

Say goodbye to tired pebbledash! The freshly rendered exterior now boasts a sleek, modern finish that sets the tone for what’s inside. The large sweeping driveway offers a dramatic welcome, but it’s the yellow porch that steals the show. Step through to find vintage school lockers cleverly repurposed as shoe storage—a nod to my love for quirky functionality. The yellow inner front door hints at the vibrancy waiting beyond.

The hall is a bold introduction, with wallpapered walls and brightly painted woodwork leading the way up a striking staircase. The black-and-white stripped floor adds timeless charm while grounding the colourful palette.

Kitchen: The Heart of the Home

The teal and orange kitchen is a masterclass in balancing bold hues. Anchored by a striking Foresso worktop, it’s both a functional cooking space and a design showstopper. The open-plan layout flows seamlessly into a cosy living area, featuring a gallery wall that artfully disguises a wall-mounted TV, an orange sofa, and a cheeky neon light for that extra pop of personality.

Downstairs Gems

The pink cloakroom with navy ostrich wallpaper is proof that even the smallest spaces deserve attention. Meanwhile, the green-and-pink study brims with quirky accessories, making it the perfect spot to work (or daydream).

Living Room: A Dark Teal Dream

The living room wraps you in rich dark teal, with a painted ceiling that adds depth and drama. It’s a haven for relaxing or entertaining, where mid-century modern wooden furniture adds warmth and texture to the luxurious vibe.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms: A Riot of Styles

Each bedroom tells its own story. The pale blue room features statement lighting, a super-long bed, and a delightful clash of patterned fabrics on the headboard, curtains, and bedspread. Meanwhile, the kids’ bedrooms celebrate their individuality—a jungle-themed dark green space with neon artwork for one, and a blue-and-white room with subtle football nods for the other.

Bathrooms are just as striking. The master bathroom is a monochrome masterpiece, complete with a double shower and bold black-and-white tiles. For a touch of luxury, the yellow-and-turquoise ensuite boasts a deep turquoise Japanese-style bath paired with vibrant yellow tiles.

And then there’s the pièce de résistance—the pink walk-in wardrobe. With a cowhide chair and a wallpapered ceiling in black and white, it’s a fashion lover’s dream come true.

Why It Matters

Pop Round to Mine isn’t just a home; it’s the Colour Rebel manifesto in house form. It shows that bold colours, playful patterns, and mid-century modern touches can work together to create a space that feels alive and uniquely you.
